Linda Jackson
Linda Jackson AO is a true pioneer and free spirit of Australian Fashion and Textile Art. A 50 year career has taken Linda around Australia on wanderings through the outback of Oz… discovering and documenting the landscape in a myriad of ways, revealing a colourful and unique passion for telling the stories of her travels.
Since closing her Sydney Studio in 1992 … Linda relocated to the NT and in 2000 to FNQ working on Art projects in Indigenous communities and continued painting and exhibiting her Art in private and Regional Galleries. She has received many accolades for her work, including being acquired by the Australian National Gallery, National Gallery of Victoria, Powerhouse Museum and Cairns Art Gallery.
A major “Step into Paradise” retrospective exhibition of Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson at Powerhouse Museum in Sydney 2019- 2020 was followed by the ABC Documentary in 2021.
Linda continues to be inspired by Far North Queensland.
