My pottery studio is situated on a farm near Mossman Gorge, overlooking a creek and nestled between farmland and remnant rainforest.

It is also where I live.

My art works are inspired by the natural environment, with a focus on immersion in, interaction with, and discovery of, a sense of place and peace within it.

With a trade background in landscape gardening, I have in recent years initiated, coordinated, co-designed and installed several large-scale community art mosaic projects.

Cyclone Jasper caused devastating flooding in the Douglas Shire late in 2023. In the aftermath, I decided to buy my own kiln. This has enabled me to “make” more consistently.

I primarily hand build. Many of my ceramic pieces do serve practical functions, however their utility informs the narrative of the work rather than being my primary concern.
